This resort spa is an integral component of the recent renovation of the world-renowned Farmhouse Inn, in the heart of the California wine country. The ethos of this boutique resort – an intimate, authentic wine country experience steeped in a sense of quiet sophistication and luxury – is echoed in the design of this boutique spa. In homage to the design of iconic horse barns, the new spa building is long and low. Elegant barn doors and shutters line the entry to the crisp, all-white space, and dutch doors lead to three expansive, indoor/outdoor treatment rooms. Each treatment rooms opens directly onto its own shower garden, tucked against the wooded hillside. Warm furnishings and a rustic stone fireplace balance the voluminous spaces and white interior.
